A New York City Judge Extends Bobby Shmurda’s Prison Sentence

In September 2016, Ackquille Pollard, otherwise known as Bobby Shmurda, was sentenced to seven years after pleading guilty for conspiracy to murder and weapons possession.

During his incarceration, the Brooklyn rapper allegedly tried to bring a “sharp metal object” into Rikers Island given by his girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, during a visit in 2015. Both Shmurda and Rousseau would eventually be charged.

Yesterday, the Bronx Supreme Court Judge, Marc Whitten, and prosecutors offered Bobby Shmurda a plea bargain which will now extend his prison sentence anywhere from one to four years, whereas he could’ve faced up to seven years if he went to trial.

The GS9 rapper is expected to be sentenced next month.
